Competitive Lego building has come to Greene County.
The Greene County Godzillas team earned first place for robot performance at the first Lego League regional competition Dec. 9 at the Science Center of Iowa in Des Moines.
The Godzillas competed against 24 other teams in the categories of core values, research presentation, and robot performance. They team earned the highest score out of approximately75 runs by all teams throughout the day.
The team is hosted by Greene County Extension and Outreach and is open to students in grades 5-8 who have previously participated in an Extension robotics class.
